Currently riding out the remnants of hurricane Florence in the mountains of NC she is preparing for travels that will take her through Seoul, South Korea and into China, Malaysia and Singapore: all while doing massage along the way. Hello All!
Lee Stang here, licensed and Board Certified Massage Therapist. I currently live in Hendersonville, NC. Generally a lovely place nestled among the Blue Ridge Mountains of western NC. Today we are fortunate to get only the tail end of the hurricane that has pummeled much of the NC coast and has now moved inland. Lots of rain and we all here continue to say a prayer for those that have been hit much harder by all of this.
I have a private practice here in NC working at both a Chiropractic Clinic and a Tennis Center. I am also extremely fortunate to work for the WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) and get to travel the world with a top notch organization and exceptional healthcare professionals and professional athletes. The WTA, among many other things, provides the healthcare for the professional women’s tour. And I must say that the way in which Massage Therapy is integrated into the program with the physiotherapist, doctors, nutritionists, sports psychology etc. is outstanding. Not an afterthought but an integral part of the team makes working in this environment very exciting and rewarding.
I use a number of different tools in doing massage. The reason: partly to save my hands, but mostly because they are efficient and effective. The “Zippy roller ball” is one of my favorites. Easy to hold and versatile and just plain fun it has many uses that I will try to cover over the next month with the “Adventures of Zippy in Asia”. Stay tuned to see where Zippy’s travels take us!
